I am a Volunteering Project Coodinator for LeGaBiBo
and excited to work with gays and lesbians in a country that does not
recognise
them. I hope to leave behind a legacy of thoughtful work. My goal is to
persue the government and the community to accept and recognize gays
and
lesbian in Botswana. I also believe sexual orientation is a basic part
of each person´s identity and queer people are fast loving,
ethical,
productive, smart, beautiful and as human as heterosexual people.

An
Active Member My objectives for joining LeGaBiBo are to ¨Voice Out¨ LGBTI´s, make a difference in the LGBTI community. I am here to push for LGBTI rights. Also a member to socialzize with älike¨people. I proudly represented LeGaBiBo by being their presenter at the Ditshwanelo workshop (Minority groups in Botswana) in Dec 2005. Presented on sexual minority, challenges and issues they face. I am a co founder of ¨Fabulous Duo · Queer Talk¨, an agony columnñ and part of its operating/running team. I recently did a radio interview on behalf of LeGaBiBo with two fellow members at GabzFm (hosted by Warona, 26th April 2006). Issue at hand was about the existence of LGBTI in Botswana, challenges and issues facing them. I would like to see LeGaBiBo as a recognized legal organization, and thus intend to stay with LeGaBiBo. I am also laying myself out and for fellow member to talk to when in need. Words of wisdom ¨see yourself, believe yourself, know yourself, trust yourself, then with that people will not dare challenge you¨ Caine Youngman |

I am
a 38yr old male, and member of LeGaBiBo. I have been involved with LeGaBiBo
from the beginning when there were only aless than five people that started
it. It went through its ups and downs, and am still sticking with it;
I strongly believe with all the challengeds that we still have to face,
we will pull through and get the message across that LGBTI people are
as human as heterosexuals. Personal quate: "I love to satisfy" Edwin ¨Sexy¨ Lunga |
